About Us

Glenesk Folk Museum was established by local school teacher and historian, Greta Michie in 1955 and is dedicated to preserving the past, present, and future of the vibrant local community.

During your visit you can expect to see our stunning collection of farming equipment, Victorian textiles, and recreations of family life; plus much more

We are an independent museum and rely on donations in order to keep our museum free and accessible to all visitors

"Fascinating- even for our young grand-kids!"
