Enjoy learning a new skill at our ‘Wool Processing for Beginners Crafternoon’
What to expect:
Arrive at 1pm and take your first steps in wool processing.
Working with fibre lover, Fred Porchez from ‘WishEweWereHere,’ you will learn how to process a selection of different breeds of wool.
You will learn to:
* identify different kinds of wool and other fibres.
* be shown how to make a ball of yarn using a traditional drop spindle.
* try out a spinning wheel.
* spin your own yarn on a spinning wheel
You are welcome to bring your own tools, and seek guidance on how to use them.
During the break, enjoy a 3 tier Afternoon Tea (sandwiches, sausage roll, scones with cream and jam and cake) including a glass of wine/prosecco or alcohol free cocktail if you prefer.
Expect a fun, relaxing afternoon and companionable crafting, in the beautiful surroundings of Glen Esk.
There is plenty to do for accompanying family members (including the designated driver) They can spend an afternoon enjoying the great outdoors beauty of the glen and a visit to Glenesk Folk Museum.
