Meet our Experts

Representing our local community of expert makers and crafters, the following crafters will be joining us on Saturday the 11th and Sunday the 12th of February to lead you through a selection of themed crafts between 2pm and 4pm in our Café.

Kits are available at low cost from the crafters or feel free to bring your own handiwork along and join in for a free day out

Scentsational with Sam

Sam Senkel

Sam is the maker behind Scentsational with Sam.

She will be joining us on Saturday the 11th to make handcrafted cards suitable for gifting or framing

Nyla's Dream Ltd.

Fiona Watters

Fiona is the creator of fantastic smelling made to order wax melts and candles at Nyla's Dreams Ltd.

As well as pouring wax, Fiona is bringing play-doh to keep young hands busy

Karin's Wool Craft

Karin Hanssen Brodin

You can see Karins lovely handiwork in the Glenesk Folk Museum shop and she is one of the busy Knitters contributing to our handmade kilt hose.

Karin will be guiding you through a simple and stunning crochet heart project.

CherryGrove Bits and Bobs

Amanda Wilson

Amanda is the maker and creator behind CherryGrove Bits and Bobs, Handcrafted bespoke gifts from Rural Aberdeenshire.

She will be joining us to make felt hearts with button and rose decorations

Affa Guid Home Baking with Mandy

Mandy Anderson

Mandy at Affa Guid makes delicious sweet treats and afternoon teas. Her cakes and tiffins are often available in Glenesk Folk Museums Cafe.
